Most people know me as a photographer, a mom, and a small business owner. But like you, I’ve never fit neatly into just one box.
We’re told to play it safe. To stick to what we know. But there comes a time when you realize, it’s time to step into more.
More freedom. More confidence. More of the life you actually want.
I created this space for photographers who are ready to stop second-guessing and start building something real. If you’re craving clarity, direction, and a business that works for your life—not the other way around—you’re in the right place.
Let’s stop playing small and start building with intention. I’m so glad you’re here.
MY STORY
I went to school for photography in NYC and landed a job at a women’s magazine after graduation.
It was exciting—but exhausting. At 26, I left the city and moved back to Vermont in search of a slower pace and hoped to break into the editorial scene…The local scene had other plans.
After lots of rejection, I realized that the few magazines in Vermont weren’t looking for new (or young… or female) photographers.
I needed a job—any job. That’s when I started my vet tech career.Â
Then, a few years later everything changed. I started dating a Realtor who said, “Didn’t you go to school for photography? Want to shoot a listing for me?”
I hadn’t touched a camera in nearly a decade, and it showed. But those photos led to another job. Then another. After the third shoot, I realized:
I shouldn’t be doing this for free. Â
So, I started charging. Soon, someone else in the office called me. That’s when it hit me...this could be a niche I could grow into.
I bought a basic online tutorial about shooting interiors to improve my skills in this niche, and created a flyer with the few listings I had shot. I visited real estate offices to promote my work and started getting more jobs. I continued to improve my portfolio and out of the blue, I got a call from my first Interior Designer Client. I knew this would be my next path to leveling up.Â
Fast forward to now: I have expanded my business to work with DREAM clients up and down the east coast including a wide variety of Interior designers, builders, architects, rental properties, and commercial businesses. I have been published in New York Times, Boston Globe, New England Home Magazine, Arch Digest, Country living Magazine and many others. I am booking weeks to months out and STILL have time to be with my family and most importantly to watch my daughter grow up.Â
